Overview
GoodBooks Software, LLC ("GoodBooks," "we," "us," or "our") operates an SMS notification service for authorized users of the GoodBooks nonprofit accounting platform. These SMS Terms govern your participation in that program. By opting in to GoodBooks SMS notifications, you agree to these terms.
Program Description
The GoodBooks SMS messaging service is used to send transactional notifications to GoodBooks account holders. Examples of messages you may receive include:
- Account alerts (e.g., payment failures, subscription renewal reminders)
- Donation activity notifications for connected nonprofit accounts
- Security alerts (e.g., new login from an unrecognized device)
- Platform status updates directly relevant to your account
GoodBooks does not send marketing or promotional SMS messages without separate, explicit consent.
How to Opt In
You may opt in to GoodBooks SMS notifications through your account settings within the GoodBooks platform. By providing your mobile phone number and confirming your consent, you authorize GoodBooks to send SMS messages to that number as described above.
How to Opt Out
You can cancel SMS notifications at any time. To unsubscribe, reply STOP to any GoodBooks SMS message. After sending STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. No further SMS messages will be sent to that number.
You may also manage your SMS notification preferences from within your GoodBooks account settings, or by contacting us at support@goodbooks.app.
If you wish to re-enroll after opting out, you may do so by updating your notification preferences in your account settings.

Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Most users receive only a small number of messages per month. You will not receive unsolicited bulk SMS messages. Transactional notifications are sent only in response to activity on your account.
Rates & Carrier Information
Message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from GoodBooks and for any messages you send to us. These charges are determined by your wireless carrier and your service plan. If you have questions about your plan, contact your wireless provider directly.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. GoodBooks is not responsible for any wireless carrier charges you incur as a result of participating in this SMS program.
Supported Carriers
GoodBooks SMS messages are delivered through Plivo. Major US carriers are supported. Availability and reliability of SMS delivery may vary by carrier and region. GoodBooks does not guarantee delivery of any individual message.
Privacy
Your mobile phone number is used solely to deliver SMS notifications as described in these SMS Terms. GoodBooks delivers SMS messages through Plivo; your phone number is shared with Plivo for that purpose only and is subject to Plivo's Privacy Policy. Changes to These SMS Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued participation in the SMS program following notice of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
